Introduction to SAS
Course Description
The workshop will focus on the fundamentals of using SAS such as: understanding the SAS interface, inputting data into SAS, manipulating data, computing summary statistics and basic graphing techniques. This workshop is targeted toward those who have never used SAS or are beginning SAS users. After the workshop attendees should feel comfortable using SAS and performing the actions listed above.

Instructors

Dr. Mary Christman, Associate Professor in UF's Department of Statistics, has consulted with researchers and faculties of several universities including University of Maryland, University of Florida, Florida A and M University, and University of South Florida. She has also consulted with several federal and state agencies and with non-governmental organizations. Her research interests are in sampling designs for rare and clustered events, modeling of ecological and environmental systems, and spatial data analyses. |

James Colee, has been a coordinator for statistical research in IFAS Statistics department at University of Florida and has been using SAS for a number of years. |
