Introduction to R
Course Description
The open source software package R is by far the most comprehensive statistical platform for performing statistical analysis and it is absolutely free! The programming syntax, just like in any other command line software program, takes practice to build familiarity. But once the user becomes familiar with it basic syntactical structures underlying R, endless tool chest of statistical approaches becomes unlocked into the hands of the user. This workshop will introduce numerous statistical routines, each of which is motivated by data. Statistical topics will include regression, analysis of variance, analysis of covariance, generalized linear models, analysis of count data, mixed effects models, multivariate statistics, and Bayesian statistics.
